OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2011. Fujitsu today announced the release of a new edition of its "IPKNOWLEDGE" internal information consolidation solution for public organizations, which boasts a deployment track record of over 1,000 systems that has been expanded and enhanced for use by independent administrative institutions(1) in Japan.

The new solution centrally manages a wide range of information associated with the internal operations of independent administrative institutions, including information relevant to accounting, HR, payroll, general affairs, document management, and travel expenses management. In addition to facilitating the coordination of different tasks during times of personnel change, structural reform, budget management, and system reform, the solution also offers an electronic authorization feature that enables all tasks to be authorized from a single screen, thereby enabling improved operational efficiency. In addition, all tasks feature a common easy-to-use interface design, making operations uniform and effortless.

With the new solution, institutions are able to consolidate expenses related to hardware, software, operations and maintenance, and as a result, reduce costs by approximately 30% in comparison to deploying individual systems for each task.

Starting in October 2011, Fujitsu also plans to launch the "IPKNOWLEDGE Independent Administrative Institution Accounting System". This new accounting system has been developed as part of the new solution to handle accounting tasks.
