OREANDA-NEWS.  January 19, 2012. In 2012, Uralmashplant shall supply over 1000 tons of work and back-up rolls for cold rolling to ArcelorMittal Temirtau (Kazakhstan). The plant signed this contract based on the results of successful bids.

Uralmashplant cooperates with ArcelorMittal works for a long time. Thus, in 2010, the plant signed contracts for supply of rolls to ArcelorMittal Temirtau and two Polish works of the same company, namely, to Huta Krolewska и Dabrowa Gornicza.

Uralmashplant produces forged rolls of four types, i.e. back-up and work rolls for cold and hot rolling. Uralmashplant supplies its products to Russian metallurgical integrated works, to enterprises in Poland, China, Kazakhstan, India, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Macedonia, Luxemburg, Turkey, and Bulgaria. The plant steadily expands the geography of its supplies; in 2011 it signed contracts for delivery of rolls with enterprises of Ukraine, Rumania, USA, and Indonesia.

ArcelorMittal runs business in more than 60 countries worldwide. It is the largest steelmaking company in the world and the leader in all steelmaking industry sectors. ArcelorMittal produces the entire range of rolled carbon steel strips, as well as long carbon and stainless steel products.

The joint-stock company "Uralmashplant" is one of the leaders on the Russian market of equipment for metallurgy, mining industry, oil and gas industry, building materials industry and power engineering industry. The strategy of the company's development aims at creation of a world-class machine-building company, capable to completely fulfill all equipment requirements a customer may have.

At present, with support of the principal shareholder - Gazprombank - Uralmashplant is implementing a large-scale program of comprehensive modernization of production facilities, including those engaged in production of rolls. In particular, the first stage of modernization of the forging complex has been fulfilled on the basis of 10,000-ton press. The machinery undergoes active renewal and repairs. The plans for the nearest future provide for construction of a differential heat treatment department for back-up rolls for cold and hot rolling.
