OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2012. The net income of Moldtelecom, stock association, made up 202,2 mln. leis (USD 17,1 mln.) in 2011, 1,9 times down as compared with 2010. According to the company’s financial reports, the income from operational activity was 180,8 mln. leis, 1,8 times down as compared with last year. The income from financial activity declined 2,5 times to 15,1 mln. leis, the income from investments fell also 2,5 times and was 6,1 mln. leis.

The sales volume decreased 6,8% in 2011 as compared with 2011 from 2 bln. 402,1 mln. leis to 2 bln. 238,6 mln. leis. The company’s cost price reduced 0,2% from 1 bln. 782,9 mln. leis to 1 bln. 779,7 mln. leis. Its long-term tangible assets grew 8,8% from 4 bln. 120,2 mln. leis to 4 bln. 481 mln. leis. The authorized capital of the association equals to 984,19 mln. leis. 100% of its shares is held by the state.

Moldtelecom is a national operator of fixed telephone communication. The company came beyond the limits of its traditional activity, fixed telephony, and since March, 1, 2007 has rendered services of CDMA 2000 mobile communication under the UNITE brand. According to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information technologies, Moldtelecom remains the key player at the fixed telephony market of Moldova and at the data transmission and fixed broadband internet market with its shares being 98,3% and 66,9% respectively.

The sales volume of Moldtelecom declined 14,5% to 1 bln. 619,5 mln. leis at the fixed telephony market and increased 30,4 to 454 mln. leis at the data transmission and fixed broadband internet market. The sales volume of the company at the market of mobile communication increased 31,1% to 129,5 mln. leis in 2011. The company occupied the 3,59% share of the total sales turnover at the mobile communication market in 2011.
