According to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communication and Information Technologies, the sales volume of Moldtelecom, national operator of fixed telephony, made up 375,4 mln. leis in January-March, 2012, 5,6% down as compared with the same period of the last year.

At the same time, sales volumes of alternative operators grew 54% to 9,3 mln. leis. The increase was determined by a greater number of subscribers to Triple Play services. In Q1, 2012, the Average Revenue per User declined 6,3% to 108,5 leis in the market of the fixed telephony, ANRCETI reports.

At Moldtelecom it was 111,1 leis, 5,8% down, alternative operators shoed the increase of the indicator by 7,5% to 55,7 leis. In Q1, 2012 there were 23 operators in the market of the fixed telephony.

The major player of the market, Moldtelecom, occupied the 97,6% share of the market, with all the rest operators making the 2,4% share.
