OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2012. In tune with the corporate culture of serving and caring for the nation, IndianOil and its employees have always lent a helping hand in relief and rehabilitation of people in distress. To alleviate the sufferings of the flood affected people of Assam, IndianOil people met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam on 6th September’12 and contributed a sum of Rs 97.88 Lacs towards the CM’s Relief Fund.

IndianOil people from various Divisions, Units and Offices across North East, like Assam Oil Division(AOD), Bongaigaon Refinery (BGR), Guwahati Refinery(GR), Guwahati-Siliguri Pipeline(GSPL) and North East Integrated State Office (NEISO), joined hands towards this noble cause in an expression of solidarity with the people of Assam ravaged by nature’s fury.

The contributed amount was handed over by Shri A. Saran, Executive Director, Bongaigaon Refinery, Shri Barun Barpujari, Executive Director, IOCL (AOD), Digboi, Shri B. P Das, Executive Director, Guwahati Refinery, Shri Priobhash Dey, General Manager, IOCL Marketing Division(NEISO), Shri D. Das, Dy. General Manager, Guwahati-Siliguri Pipelines , and the Collectives of all the Units and Offices of IndianOil Refineries, Marketing and Pipelines across North East.

The Oil major which has significant presence in the petroleum Refining, Marketing and Pipeline transportation in the North East, has been contributing significantly to the state’s revenue generation, employment generation and socio-economic development.
