OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2013. Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an event together with the company of "Chamber Invest Group", dedicated to the further development of cooperation with foreign countries in the sphere of small business and private entrepreneurship.

The event was held at the new industrial business center "TechnoPlaza" with the participation of the representatives of diplomatic corps, international organizations and financial institutions, accredited in Uzbekistan.

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country Alisher Shaykhov noted that in Uzbekistan in order to attract foreign investors, a unique guarantee system has been created both for the investors, as well as for enterprises with foreign investments.

Our state guarantees the rights of foreign investors, the protection of their investments and inviolability of properties created by them in the country’s territory. In addition, a consistent work is being conducted on expansion and liberalization of the available preferences. Presidential resolution on additional measures to stimulate attraction of direct foreign investments from 10 April 2012 is an important factor in this direction.

The presentation, which has demonstrated the potential of intermodal logistics center "Navoi" and a special industrial zone "Angren" attracted the foreign visitors particularly.

It was noted that since the establishment, 12 companies built and put into operation in "Navoi" free industrial-economic zone, which in 2012 produced goods worth about 80 billion soums. There are 7 more high-tech projects, such as the organization of the production of accumulator wires, production of automobile gas tanks, the joint production of cellular and fixed-line phones, modems, and Internet set-top boxes.

Special industrial zone "Angren" allows the use of production and resource potential of Tashkent region and to establish cooperation with the enterprises of Fergana valley.

Member companies of the special industrial zone "Angren", were granted a broad system of tax and customs privileges and preferences in a term of 3 to 7 years depending on the amount of investments as well as provided a guaranteed connection to the infrastructure facilities and communications.

During the meeting, participants were also informed about the possibilities of the company "Chamber Invest Group", created with the participation of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

It is designed to assist in the implementation of the strategic objectives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the development and strengthening of business relations of domestic entrepreneurs with foreign partners.
