OREANDA-NEWS. Repsol, its Foundation and the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) have signed a collaboration agreement to intensify and extend their joint efforts through initiatives to successfully promote FESBAL’s activities.

Repsol chairman, Antonio Brufau, the Repsol Foundation Vice-chairman, Cesar Gallo and the Spanish Federation of Food Banks Chairman, Josй Antonio Busto, signed the agreement at the energy company’s corporate headquarters, the Campus Repsol.

Through this agreement, Repsol, its Foundation and FESBAL will promote and develop awareness-raising, communication and food donation activities to mitigate the effects of marginalisation and poverty. This initiative falls in line with Repsol’s commitment to contributing benefits to society.

In recent years the three organisations have collaborated in a variety of initiatives in recent years and now they take one step further with the signing of this agreement. The activities which they have carried out jointly and which are still underway include food collection campaigns at the Repsol offices, volunteer work by employees of the company, provision of equipment to food banks and fund-raising through business campaigns.

In line with this spirit of collaboration, at the end of November Repsol will participate in a large-scale food collection campaign organised by FESBAL, in which there will be 5,000 collection points distributed throughout Spain. During the campaign, the energy company will provide its employees with areas for collecting food, which will then be delivered to the Federation’s Food Banks.
