OREANDA-NEWS  Facebook Inc has blocked 30 suspicious pages in the Facebook network and 85 accounts in Instagram. The company reports about it in the blog.

It is reported that almost all the pages on Facebook were in Russian and French, while Instagram accounts were mainly in English.

All these pages have been found to be coordinated "unfair" behavior. Their activity was related to the discussion of celebrities and politicians. Facebook has started checking the possible connection of these accounts with Russia, in particular, with the "Internet research Agency" and other organizations.

In September—October, Twitter deleted thousands of accounts for calls not to vote in the midterm elections in the United States, which will be held on November, 6. Then Twitter and Facebook have not found the intervention of China, but made such action on the part of Russia and Iran.

In February, the US Department of justice accused 13 Russians and nine legal entities, including the Internet research Agency, Concord Management and Consulting and Concord Catering, of interfering in the US elections of 2016. According to the prosecution, the "Troll factory" had a political influence on American citizens since 2014. In July, special Prosecutor Robert Mueller said that 12 more Russians were identified. According to the Prosecutor's office, they are involved in hacking the computers of individuals and structures of the Democratic party during the 2016 elections.

Social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, have pledged to cooperate in this matter with the committees of the Senate and House of representatives of the United States, who are investigating the alleged "Russian intervention" in elections and "collusion Trump with Russia." The presence of such "collusion" was refuted both in the Kremlin and in the White house.
