OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 May 2017, a thunderstorm, rain and strong wind caused the disconnection of distribution networks in a number of territories in the regions of the service area of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. Crews of the company’s local branches, as well as involved forces and means from neighbouring branches, are working to eliminate technological violations in the regions affected by bad weather.

The active assistance to their colleagues is provided by power engineers of IDGC of Centre. Already in the past day, emergency repair crews and equipment from various branches of the company were promptly sent to the regions of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region affected by the bad weather. Currently, there are 5 crews of the Lipetskenergo branch and 7 crews of the Tambovenergo branch in the Ryazan region, 7 crews of the Bryanskenergo branch in the Kaluga region, 7 crews of the Orelenergo branch provided with all necessary materials and equipment. IDGC of Centre’s specialists are participating in emergency and repair operations and work on transferring consumers to standby power supply circuits.

General Director of IDGC of Centre, Acting General Director of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, Oleg Isaev is monitoring the situation through the single operational and situational centre (in October 2016, by the decision of Rosseti in the subsidiaries of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region the unified management was introduced), which allows for the transfer of forces and means to prevent weakening of the situation in the regions that provide assistance and ensure the stability of the energy system of the Central Federal District. The interaction with the contractors of both companies involved in the elimination of damage to the grid has been established, as well as with units of FGC UES.

The work is planned to continue until the restoration of the regular electricity supply circuit for all consumers in the regions.
