OREANDA-NEWSA vessel with liquefied natural gas (LNG) for Ukraine arrived from the United States at the Polish LNG terminal in Swinoujscie. This was announced on Wednesday by the US Embassy in Kiev.

The vessel that transported LNG for Ukraine yesterday arrived at the LNG terminal Swinoujscie (Poland) in the Baltic Sea - this is another step in providing assistance to Ukraine to achieve energy independence", the agency said. on Facebook. On August 31, representatives of the governments of Poland, the United States and Ukraine signed a "cooperation agreement to strengthen the regional security of natural gas supplies". 

According to the Polish authorities", the agreement concerns cooperation in the field of reforming the Ukrainian gas market, the Polish natural gas import infrastructure, the Ukrainian infrastructure for storing and exporting American LNG, as well as gas connections in the region". US Energy Secretary Rick Perry said that "deliveries of liquefied natural gas to Poland will help Ukraine become independent of Russian gas supplies".
