Dodon Allowed a Decrease in Cost of Russian Gas for Moldova by 40% by the End of Year

OREANDA-NEWS. By the end of the year, the cost of Russian gas for Moldova may decrease by about 40%, to $ 100 per thousand cubic meters. Such a forecast was voiced on Friday by the President of the Republic Igor Dodon during the program "The President is responsible", published on social networks.
“If we work according to the same formula with Gazprom, then in the fourth quarter the cost of gas may fall to $ 100”, the president said, noting that the republic’s authorities regularly maintain contacts with representatives of the gas holding.
According to Dodon, from January 1, Moldova will import gas at a price of $ 176 per thousand cubic meters, and last year I bought it for $ 233-240. "From April 1, the price has decreased by another $ 10-15, and from July 1, in the third trimester, it will be around $ 140-135", the president said. He explained that with the fall in oil prices, the price of natural gas also decreases.
