OREANDA-NEWSOPEC+ ministers expect on Friday to complete negotiations on a reduction of production by 10 million bpd, begun on April 9, in order to enlist the support of Mexico, which did not agree with the terms proposed to it. This is stated in the communiqué of the organization, issued following an online meeting.

"The agreement reached depends on Mexico's consent to accept the conditions specified in the annex", the OPEC final statement said. The secretariat also calls on other producer countries to contribute to market stabilization. "OPEC+ member countries will gather on June 10 through a webinar to determine further actions to stabilize the market", it said. A discussion in Mexico of the conditions proposed to it is planned as part of the G20 negotiations, which are scheduled for Friday at 15:00 Moscow time.

As follows from the draft OPEC+ agreement, which was reviewed by the Russian media, in total, the OPEC+ countries will limit production by 10 million barrels per day - from 43.8 million to 33.8 million barrels per day.
