OREANDA-NEWS. The first batch of right-hand drive KAMAZ vehicles was delivered to BELL Equipment, the official distributor of KAMAZ PTC in Africa.

54 right-hand drive KAMAZ vehicles were shipped to BELL Equipment within a period from December 2017 to January 2018. By the way, the first batch of 12 trucks was sent to the RSA from the port of Saint Petersburg on the 30th of December, on the threshold of the new year. The RORO ocean line Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) was nominated a marine carrier. The vehicles were delivered to the port of Durban on time and unshipped on the 6th of February.

The delivery was carried out thanks to joint efforts of KAMAZ International Trade Company JSC (VTK) and the Research and Development Center of the company for development and certification of tropical version right-hand drive vehicles specially made for the Republic of South Africa. In all, four models (of 5 versions) of KAMAZ dump trucks with a restyled cab were developed and certified. They include KAMAZ-65115-97 with a 10 cbm body, KAMAZ-6520-63 with a 12 cbm body, KAMAZ-65201-63 with a 16 cbm body, and KAMAZ-65222-63 with 12 cbm and 16 cbm bodies. Three vehicles of the delivered batch will be presented at the International exhibition BAUMA AFRICA-2018 to be held in Johannesburg (the RSA) on March 13-16.

BELL Equipment is a producer of forklifts, articulated dump trucks and other special vehicles for various industries. The company has been producing and selling vehicles for more than 60 years, and there are over 56 dealership centers providing maintenance services throughout Africa. In June 2017, BELL EQUIPMENT became an authorized distributor of KAMAZ PTC in 12 African countries.

During 2018, KAMAZ plans to deliver 100 vehicles to the RSA market. Besides, the largest Russian truck producer plans to organize a warehouse of spare parts on the basis of the logistics center of BELL Equipment and an assembly in the RSA based on the production facilities of the official distributor.
