OREANDA-NEWS. Through-analytics service Similar Web has published its ranking of the most visited classifieds sites at the end of November 2021. Avito took the top spot, displacing American Craigslist from that position for the first time.
According to the analytics system, the total number of visits to the site in November was 279.6 million. The average time Avito users spent on the platform per visit in November was 11 minutes. That's enough time to visit 11.72 pages of ads.
The Russian online classifieds platform by the end of November surpassed the previous favorite of the ranking, American Craigslist (276.92 million visits, 8 minutes per page and 10.19 pages per visit) and French Leboncoin (139.35 million, 11.29 minutes per page and 12.29 pages per visit). It is worth noting that Craigslist is one of the oldest classifieds websites, having been at the top of the Similar Web for years.
In the global ranking of e-commerce and shopping, Avito ranked 14th with the best behavioral metrics (refusals and session depth) among Russian services, becoming "number one" among popular domestic marketplaces.
Avito is also the leader in terms of the total number of publications: the site currently has over 86 million active ads. Of the entire list, only Craigslist does not disclose the total number of ads; the rest have significantly fewer.
In October, Avito's mobile app ranked first in Russia in several ratings by the analytics service App Annie. The company beat its competitors by the number of active users, the total number of sessions, the time spent in the app, and the total number of downloads for the entire period of existence.
