OREANDA-NEWS. Despite serious restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the cost of daily rent in the largest tourist cities in Russia - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Crimea has grown significantly in 2020 compared to last year.

As Pavel Lutsenko, general director of the federal portal World of Apartments, told the TASS news agency on December 8, the restrictions due to the pandemic were reduced, but did not stop the rise in prices for daily rent of apartments on New Year's holidays. In Moscow and in Sochi the cost of daily rental housing increased by 25% in 2020, St. Petersburg - by 37%, and in Crimea – by 18%  by  compared to last year.

According to the expert, if it were not for the restrictions on public events, the ban on banquets in restaurants, the closure of theaters and museums, rental rates could have jumped even more.

According to the federal portal World of Apartments, in remote areas of Moscow rental prices on New Year's holidays start at 3.5 thousand rubles per day, and closer to the center of the capital - from 5-6 thousand rubles. The most expensive offers, up to 40 thousand rubles per New Year's Eve, can be found in the view apartments of the Moscow City International Business Center. In St. Petersburg, you can rent an apartment on the outskirts on holidays for an amount of 2 thousand rubles per day, in the center - from 3 thousand rubles. The most expensive offers are on Kamenny Island, where housing for the New Year can be rented out for 35 thousand rubles a day.

In the Crimean cities of Simferopol and Sevastopol, renting a one-room apartment on a festive night will cost from 2-2.5 thousand rubles per day. In Gurzuf, small studios cost from 9 thousand rubles. In remote areas of Sochi, you can find housing for 1.5 thousand rubles per night, in the center - from 2.5 thousand rubles, at the Krasnaya Polyana resort prices start from 5 thousand rubles and reach 20 thousand rubles on a festive night.
