OREANDA-NEWS. CNN reports that on January 20, American corporation Boeing temporarily stopped assembling 737 MAX aircrafts, running of which was suspended after two crashes.

According to journalists, despite the cessation of operation, Boeing continued to assemble airplanes of this model at a lower pace. As a result, about 400 idle airliners were accumulated at the company’s enterprises located in the states of Washington and Texas.

Boeing 737 Max aircrafts were decommissioned after two incidents. In 2018, 189 people died as a result of a crash near Jakarta (Indonesia); 346 people died in March 2019 during a crash near Addis Ababa (Ethiopia).
