Due to a Bomb Threat, Ryanair Plane Made Emergency Landing in Berlin
OREANDA-NEWS. According to «AFP», the plane, which was carrying 160 people, made an emergency landing at Berlin airport on Sunday at 20:00. Emergency services searched the plane and the luggage, but fortunately found nothing.
«The passengers continued their journey to Poland on board a spare plane», a German police spokesman said.
«The Ryanair plane that made the emergency landing reported an air emergency and was therefore immediately allowed to land in Berlin», airport spokesman Jan-Peter Haak told «Bild». «The plane is currently in a safe place», the police told «Bild».
The incident occurred exactly a week after the Ryanair plane was forced to land urgently at the Minsk airport due to a report of mining. This flight was flown by the opposition blogger Roman Protasevich, recognized in Belarus as an extremist, who now faces a long sentence in a penal colony.
It is worth recalling that as a result of this incident, politics in Germany began to talk about the introduction of sanctions against the Belarusian authorities.
