OREANDA-NEWS. First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi signed today the Agreement on mutual abolition of visa requirements between the two countries.

The Agreement provides that holders of ordinary passports of the Republic of Serbia and the People's Republic of China are exempt from visa requirements for a period of stay not exceeding 30 days. Thus, Serbia became the first country in the region of Central and Eastern Europe which has entered into an agreement to abolish the visa regime with China.

Minister Dacic, as part of the delegation of the Republic of Serbia led by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, is participating at the Summit of China and Central and East European Countries mechanism, in the capital of Latvia, Riga, on 5 and 6 November. In addition to meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Minister Dacic had a number of meetings with his counterparts from Central and East European countries.
