OREANDA-NEWSThe Russian group of companies ISBC sold Apple its trademark AIRTAG, Apple told a Russian media source familiar with the details of the transaction. A statement posted on the ISBC website stated that the company completed an international transaction for the transfer of trademark rights to AIRTAG and decided to develop its products under a single ISBC brand. It notes that under the terms of confidentiality, details will not be disclosed. At the same time, ISBC expressed confidence that the future of the brand she invented "will be bright, and soon the whole world will recognize and love the new product under this name".

ISBC Managing Director Nikita Kozhemyakin declined to comment on customer information and other details. The representative of the Apple press service did not respond to a request from the Russian media at the time of publication.

The AIRTAG brand has been registered in Russia and abroad, and its owner has already changed. According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), an application for registration of the AIRTAG trademark in relation to the 9th class (RFID tags and devices containing them) was submitted by the Russian company ISBC in October 2018. But in October 2019, the owner of the mark became GPS Avion LLC, registered in Delaware (USA). The Russian office of the law firm Baker & McKenzie is indicated as the addressee for correspondence.
