OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 August, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion visited a governmental institution "Government contact centre" and got familiarized with the work of the government hotline that operates 24 hours a day receiving telephone calls and e-mail appeals from the citizens addressed to executive authorities, and communicated with specialists. Director of the Center Valery Plokhiy informed Volodymyr Kistion about the challenges the institution was facing, in particular regarding the prospects of development of the National system for processing of appeals to executive authorities, the establishment of a National contact centre and the introduction of a new short phone number for the government hotline 1545 that will provide better opportunities for citizens in all regions of the country to contact with the authorities, thereby contributing to improvement of the quality of considering such appeals. In addition, the introduced innovation will allow the country to optimize budget spending on telecommunication services.

Volodymyr Kistion also took part in the TV show "Government on the line with citizens" and the radio programme "Under control" produced by the Government contact centre. Responding to particular questions of citizens, he noted that high quality roads are among the priority tasks for the Cabinet of Ministers. Among the other objectives of the Government are the restoration of key arterial highways, more effective use of our country's transit potential, and the like.
