OREANDA-NEWS. In Baku, an attack was announced by some Armenian "armed group" on the posts of the Azerbaijani military in Karabakh.

On the official website of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, there was a message that "On December 27, at about 15.30 (14.30 Moscow time), an illegal Armenian armed group or, possibly, a detachment of six remnants of the Armenian armed forces remaining on the territory, attacked units of the Azerbaijani army near the village of Agdam ( Akaku) Khojavend region ".

According to the ministry, one soldier was killed in the attack, and another was wounded. The victim was quickly evacuated to the hospital, and now nothing threatens his life.

The Ministry of Defense of the republic told about the response to this attack: the department reported that the Azerbaijani military had eliminated six attackers.

In late September, hostilities resumed in Nagorno-Karabakh, which became a continuation of the long-term conflict and led to casualties among the civilian population.

Both warring parties made several attempts to conclude a truce, but only the third trilateral agreement, reached on the night of November 10, was successful. With the mediation of Moscow, Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to completely cease fire and exchange prisoners and bodies of the dead. Yerevan also transferred Kelbajar, Lachin and Aghdam districts to Baku. In addition, Russian peacekeepers are stationed in the region to monitor the situation.
