OREANDA-NEWS US President Joe Biden said that at the moment there is no need and no need for additional US troops in Poland, which Warsaw had previously requested "to strengthen the eastern flank of NATO." This is reported by Bloomberg.

"There is no need for additional troops on the Polish border, but tomorrow I will discuss this issue with the Prime Minister [of Poland Donald Tusk]," Biden said ahead of the meeting.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Warsaw was calling on Western allied countries to escalate asymmetrically and "creatively thought out" against Russia in the Ukrainian conflict. "The West must carry out a creatively thought—out and asymmetric escalation," the Polish minister urged.

Sikorsky also noted that the words of French President Emmanuel Macron about NATO troops in Ukraine are useful because they put pressure on Russia.
