OREANDA-NEWSThe task of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for the next four years is to create common markets without exemptions and restrictions. This was announced in an interview with Russian media by the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich.

Assessing the possibility of creating a single energy and energy markets, Myasnikovich expressed confidence that he would come to this anyway. In his opinion, when creating a common electricity market, all issues related to the tariff policy should be taken into account. According to the agreement on the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union, signed in 2014, the formation of common markets for oil and oil products should take place no later than January 1, 2025. The creation of a common financial market is planned for the same period.

The platform for the abolition of roaming in the territory of the EAEU, according to Myasnikovich, was laid by documents signed in the framework of Belarusian-Russian relations. These approaches can be extended to the entire Eurasian Economic Union. “In the near future we will consider this topic, and I think we will approve an action plan at a board meeting”, he said.
