Since the beginning of the year, a record number of natural fires have been recorded in the Amazonian forests in Brazil - about 73 thousand (for the whole of 2018, 39 thousand fires were recorded). 

Amazonian forests cover an area of ​​about 7 million square kilometers and are located in nine states - Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. Amazonia produces 20% of all oxygen on Earth.
