OREANDA-NEWSKazakhstan plans to develop allied relations with Russia and a strategic partnership with China. This is stated in the concept of the republic’s foreign policy for 2020-2030, approved by the country's president Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev. 

"Priorities in the field of regional and multilateral diplomacy: the further development of allied relations with the Russian Federation; comprehensive strategic partnership with the People's Republic of China", the document says, the text of which was published on Monday by the press service of the head of state va.

In addition, it's planned to continue close cooperation with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the areas established by the Treaty on the EAEU, as well as optimize approaches to the negotiation process within the EAEU in order to fully take into account the long-term national interests of Kazakhstan.

The Republic also intends to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the CIS member states in order to strengthen multilateral dialogue in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian fields, as well as in the field of security and countering new challenges and threats.
