OREANDA-NEWS. The irreconcilable Syrian opposition, supported by the Turkish army, bombarded the city of Sarakib, located in the eastern part of Idlib province, with artillery shells. This was reported on Wednesday by the Syrian agency SANA.

According to reports, on Wednesday night "the armed opposition fired several artillery shells in the town of Sarakib". According to the agency, the shelling was carried out from the village, which is under the control of Turkish forces. Information about possible destruction or victims of shelling wasn't reported.

A few weeks ago, Syrian troops entered the city of Sarakib. The military police of Russia was introduced into this city to ensure the safety and unhindered movement of vehicles and civilians along the routes connecting the country's largest cities with the capital Damascus.
