OREANDA-NEWS. Irina Gerashchenko, the co-chairman of the parliamentary faction of the political party headed by ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, proposed holding a meeting of the United Nations Security Council and raising the issue of Russia’s involvement in the tragedy with Boeing 737, owned by Ukraine International Airlines, in Iran.

Gerashchenko said at the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada, that Ukraine should “raise the question of the possible role of the Russian Federation in the supply of missiles to Iran, including those that are not equipped with civil aircraft recognition systems.”

The politician also reproached the authorities of Ukraine for “not even mentioning that the Russian Federation could also be involved in the terrible tragedy with our airplane.”
