OREANDA-NEWS The Tyumen manufacturer will allocate about 5.5 billion rubles for the creation of irrigation systems and equipment for the production and processing of alfalfa in the region. This was announced to journalists by the director of the department of agriculture of the region, Vladimir Cheymetov.

"The approximate volume is about 5.5 billion rubles, of which 2.5 billion is land reclamation, but the rest is just a plant, equipment related to drying and, accordingly, harvesting of this crop," he said, answering a question about investments in alfalfa production.

Cheymetov also noted that the investor is a commodity producer from the Kazan district of the Tyumen region.

According to TASS in the regional department of agriculture, the development of an investment project for the cultivation and processing of alfalfa in the region is being conducted by JSC Agrocomplex Mayak. According to the organization, it is planned to create irrigation systems and create a production line for vitamin and herbal flour. Also, according to the calculations of the company, the lower cost of resources makes it possible to obtain a competitive cost of production on the world market and a high export potential.
