OREANDA-NEWS  The Technical Government has officially started work in Bulgaria. The ministers appointed by the decree of President Rumen Radev, headed by Dimitar Glavchev, took the oath of office in the country's parliament, after which a ceremony of transfer of power to them took place in the Cabinet building.

"With this ceremony, we are handing over power to the new government with the wish of success, so that you can do the work that will benefit the citizens of Bulgaria. Your most important task is to ensure fair elections," former Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov told the new government.

"Today is an important day for all of us. From this moment on, we assume responsibility for governing the country, protecting its sovereignty, we will work for the welfare of Bulgarian citizens and carry out the task of organizing fair elections," Glavchev said. He stressed that the government should be the guarantor of the stability of the state during the pre-election period.

President Rumen Radev commented on the beginning of the work of the country's technical government in front of journalists. "Now the country is governed by the government headed by Dimitar Glavchev. To make it clear, this technical cabinet was created according to the new provisions of the Bulgarian Constitution, which the parties wanted to deprive the president of the authority to appoint a technical government. Unlike previous technical cabinets, I did not interfere in the personnel policy of today's government and am not responsible for its actions," Radev said.
