OREANDA-NEWS. The number of victims of pneumonia caused by the 2019-nCoV virus in China increased by 108 per day, a total of 1016 people died, almost 4 thousand recovered. As noted in a message posted on Tuesday on the website of the PRC State Committee on Hygiene and Health, the number of infections in China exceeded 42.6 thousand.
"According to the data at 24:00 on February 10, the number of confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus in China reached 42638, the number of deaths was 1016, 3996 people recovered and were discharged from the hospital", the statement said. A total of 70 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Hong Kong (42 cases, one died), Macau (10 infected) and Taiwan (18).
In mainland China, the largest number of cases of coronavirus infection was recorded in the central province of Hubei (31738, of which 974 died), where the outbreak was identified.
