OREANDA-NEWS The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced an increase in the number of victims of the shelling of the region from Ukraine on Monday.

"As a result of the first shelling, the number of injured increased to 10 people, three of whom were released home for outpatient treatment. Seven more people remain in hospitals with shrapnel wounds to various parts of their bodies. All necessary medical care is being provided," the head of the region said in his telegram channel.

According to him, damage was recorded in 82 apartments of 23 apartment buildings in the city, in seven private households, five social facilities, four household facilities, and 41 cars were also damaged.

In the Belgorod region, after an air attack by the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the village of Dubovoye and the village of Tavrovo, facades of buildings, outbuildings, roofs in private households and cars were damaged.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that at about 16:00 Moscow time, air defense means repelled an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine using the RM-70 Vampire multiple rocket launcher system, 17 multiple rocket launcher shells were destroyed over Belgorod region.

At about 16:30 Moscow time, a Ukrainian drone was destroyed by air defense over the Belgorod region.

The second attempt to attack the Belgorod region using the RM-70 Vampire MLRS, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, occurred at about 18:30. Air defense repelled 19 Ukrainian shells.
