OREANDA-NEWS   An unidentified object that fell on the territory of Cyprus on the night of July 1 is supposedly a Russian-made missile, Cyprus Mail reports with reference to Turkish Foreign Minister Kudret Ozersay.

The object was previously identified as a rocket fired by the S-200 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM). He fell in the mountains near the village of Tashkent, north of Nicosia, in the territory occupied by Turkish troops. Russian letters were noticed on it.

The expert, who consulted the publication, said that the Syrian troops using such an air defense system could have released the ammunition. He could fly to Cyprus because of the work of anti-missile systems, which had rejected him off course.
