OREANDA-NEWS A draft law on deprivation of citizenship for treason has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reported.
According to the agency, the bill titled "On amendments to Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning the deprivation of citizenship of Ukraine for treason" initiated the deputy of the presidential party "Servant of the People" Sergey Kuzminykh. The document was registered on the parliament website on 9 June, but the text is not available yet.

According to the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine, more than 420 cases under the articles "treason" and "collaborationism" have been opened in the country since February 24.

Earlier it was reported that former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who is accused of treason and aiding terrorism in the case of coal supplies from Donbass, was able to leave the country for the third time. According to the law, the politician is not allowed to leave Ukrainian territory, as criminal cases were opened against him, he faces 15 years. Courts, the prosecutor's office, the antimonopoly committee and the state property fund, according to the SBU, acted in the interests of the former president of the country.
