OREANDA-NEWS. The US Department of Justice announced another 17 criminal charges against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. All the charges, according to the department’s website, concern its possible role in “crimes related to one of the biggest compromises of information in the history of the United States”. Among the charges against Assange are the illegal distribution of the names of secret Itochnik, "who provided information to American diplomats around the world, as well as to United States forces in Iraq and Afghanistan." This information was clarified in the ministry, the names of local residents, as well as journalists, religious leaders, human rights activists and political dissidents.

In addition, the founder of WikiLeaks was accused of conspiring and helping former US military intelligence analyst Bradley Manning in gaining access to secret documents related to the national defense team. “This information,” the Ministry of Justice believes, “should have been used to the detriment of the United States or in favor of another foreign state.” According to the prosecution, “to get Manning’s data for WikiLeaks Assange“, incited and compelled ”.
