"KAZ Minerals Group has published its performance and financial results for the first six months of 2016.

Production results

As previously reported, the first half of the year has brought KAZ Minerals 52.6 th. tons of cathode equivalent copper, which resulted in 43% production capacity boost compared to the same period of the previous year. The contribution of enterprises of the Eastern region and Bozymchak mining and processing complex in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 39.4 th. tons of cathode equivalent copper, Bozshakol mining and processing complex located in Pavlodar region – 7.8 th. tons, Aktogay mining and processing complex in the East Kazakhstan region – 5.4 th. tons. The copper production will continue to rise in the second half of the year as Bozshakol reaches its design capacity. By the end of 2016 the Company intends to achieve a range of 135-145 th. tons of cathode equivalent copper (in 2015, the Group produced 81.1 th. tons)".
