OREANDA-NEWS. The net profit of the Aeroflot group according to international financial reporting standards at the end of 2019 amounted to 13.5 billion rubles, follows from the company's statements.

In the reporting year, Aeroflot Group showed growth in key operating and financial indicators. An increase in passenger traffic by 9.0% to 60.7 million passengers allowed it to increase revenue by 10.8% to 677.9 billion rubles. The result of the year for shareholders was a significant increase in net profit, which amounted to 13.5 billion rubles", commented Deputy General Director for Commerce and Finance Andrei Chikhanchin.

According to the results for 2018, net profit amounted to 5.7 billion rubles. But taking into account the transition to the new reporting standard in the second quarter of 2019, the indicator was recalculated. Thus, as follows from the report, in 2018 the group received a net loss of 55.7 billion rubles.

As for other financial indicators, the revenue from regular passenger traffic increased by 12.2% to 557 billion rubles, from charter - decreased by 1.1%, to 37.4 billion rubles, freight - by 2.0%, to 19.2 billion rubles. Operating expenses in 2019 increased by 12.1% compared to the previous year, to 617.2 billion rubles. The costs of servicing aircraft and passengers amounted to 127.2 billion rubles (an increase of 17.4%). The company's total debt decreased by 13.1% to 573.7 billion rubles.
