OREANDA-NEWS The Israeli Foreign Ministry will summon Ukrainian Ambassador Yevhen Korniychuk, as he previously compared the statements of Minister Yair Lapid with "Russian propaganda", "The Jerusalem Post" reports.

Korniychuk did not like Lapid's quote that there is a "conflict" in the east of Ukraine, and not a "war".

"It is a shame that Mr. Lapid did not notice the war in the center of Europe, which has been going on for eight years. Unfortunately, Mr. Minister is relaying the rhetoric of Russian propaganda and ignoring messages from his strongest allies - the United States, Great Britain and Europe - that in the coming weeks, with a high degree of probability, a large-scale military invasion of Russia may begin in Ukraine," the diplomat said on Facebook.

On February 3, Yair Lapid answered a question about his attitude to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. It will not escalate into armed actions, the minister said. Lapid said that the issue of attitude to this conflict is difficult for him, because Israel is trying to maintain good relations with both Russia and Ukraine. Therefore, the Minister stressed, it is important to approach the discussion of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict with caution.

It also became known earlier that there was a simplification of the rules for entry into Israel of Russians who are vaccinated with "Sputnik V" or "Sputnik Lite". Now they don't have to take a serological antibody test at the airport in Israel. Before traveling to this country, it is enough to upload an official certificate of a positive serological analysis result with a QR code to the declaration form. At the moment, it can be obtained in the Russian laboratory Invitro.
