OREANDA-NEWS. The death toll in a missile attack from the Armenian side of the Azerbaijani city of Ganja has reached ten. This was stated on October 12 by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan. “On October 12, Gyunay Aliyeva, who was wounded in the missile attack on Ganja, died in the hospital,” the agency informed. Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported of 9 dead and 35 wounded.

According to the Azerbaijani side, a missile strike on the second largest city of the country, Ganja, was launched on October 11. President Ilham Aliyev said that the shelling was conducted from the territory of the Vardenis District of Armenia. Presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev added that the blow was delivered by ballistic missile Scad.

The Armenian Defense Ministry called this information untrue.

As a result of consultations held in Moscow on the initiative of the Russian side, Baku and Yerevan agreed on a ceasefire from 12:00 local time (08:00 UTC) on October 10 for the exchange of captives and bodies of the dead. Both sides accuse each other of not fulfilling the agreement.
