OREANDA-NEWSRussian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger will hold talks in Moscow on October 31. This was announced on Thursday at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"It is planned to discuss topical issues on the OSCE agenda, taking into account the upcoming ministerial meeting in Bratislava on December 5-6", she said. “Together with the CSTO allies, Russia is preparing a text of the declaration for the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II for this central event for the organization, as well as draft decisions on the issues of antiterror, the fight against the drug threat and free public access to information, urgent for the OSCE participating states”.

According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the negotiations in Moscow, it is planned to reconcile the clocks for all three dimensions of the OSCE’s activities - military-political, economic-environmental and humanitarian. "It's expected that special attention will be paid to the settlement of regional conflicts, including the work of the contact group and the OSCE special monitoring mission in Ukraine, the situation in the Balkans and Central Asia will also be affected", the diplomat said.
