OREANDA-NEWS. Kiev continues preparations for a meeting of Russian and Ukrainian leaders, but its organization is causing difficulties. UNIAN was told about this by Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"In this case, it is quite possible to do without speculation. Obviously, meetings at such a level are needed that they are extremely complex in terms of the agreement of the agenda and organization," he explained.

Nevertheless, the Office of the President of Ukraine and the Administration of the President of Russia continue to prepare it, the politician concluded.

On the eve, Vladimir Putin said that he "has something to talk about with Vladimir Zelensky." At the same time, the president clarified that when the Russian side asked Kiev what it was supposed to talk about, it was answered that it was about international security.

Putin said in response: "This is, of course, an important aspect of the situation in the world. International security is important for everyone, including Russia, for Ukraine. But I think that we have so many problems in bilateral relations that we need it would be to talk about it. "

Speaking about the conflict in Donbass and the lack of contacts between Kiev and the self-proclaimed republics, the president stressed that "it is not ours, not my whim for the Kiev authorities to talk to people from Donbass, it is spelled out in the Minsk agreements."
According to him, Kiev "simply has no desire" to fulfill the Minsk agreements.
