OREANDA-NEWS. The Syrian state information agency SANA reported that the country’s air defense systems repelled a missile attack from Israel near the city of Palmyra located 240 kilometers from the capital Damascus. According to preliminary data, as a result of the Syrian air defense’s counterattack, several Israeli missiles were shot down. There is still no data on the dead people and destruction.

The television channel Al Mayadeen specified that Israeli aircrafts launched missiles at military facilities located north of Palmyra Airport.

On March 31, Syrian air defenses repelled a missile attack by Israeli airplanes east of the city of Homs. It was reported that the Israeli Air Force stroke blows from the airspace of neighboring Lebanon.
