OREANDA-NEWS  The premiere of the partially filmed in space film "The Challenge" directed by Klim Shipenko took place at the Russian Embassy in the United States. This is what TASS writes about.

The premiere took place at the film club of the Russian diplomatic mission, the event was attended by Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov. It is noted that the show was organized with the support of Channel One and its CEO Konstantin Ernst.

In May 2023, Shipenko spoke about the filming of the second part of the project. The director admitted that he had not seriously thought about continuing the film, but stated that theoretically it was possible to shoot it.

The film crew arrived at the ISS on October 5 and returned on October 17, 2021. The plot of the "Challenge" revolves around a doctor (the role is played by actress Julia Peresild), who is forced to prepare for a space flight in a month in order to go to the ISS to save an astronaut. The budget of the project, according to its creators, amounted to about a billion rubles.
