According to the Federal customs service, export in the overseas countries made 28 million 864 thousand tons to the sum of $10 billion 462,7 million. Export to the CIS made 2 million 270,8 thousand tons worth $1 billion 25,4 million.

Without taking into account pig-iron, ferroalloys, waste and scrap metal, Russia exported 19 million 624,5 thousand tons of ferrous metals to the sum of $8 billion 536 million in January-August 2006. Export in the overseas countries made 18 million 107,1 thousand tons worth $7 billion 688,7 million and the CIS - 1 million 517,4 thousand tons worth $847,3 million.
