OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC “Kirov Plant OCM” (KZOCM, enterprise of the processing complex of UMMC) got a conclusion of the auditor company “Russian Register – Baltic Inspection” (Saint Petersburg) about the conformance of the ecological management system of the enterprise to requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2004.

According to the press-service of UMMC, chief auditor Taras Lipkan has noted that the personnel of the enterprise had carried out the great work, and the result of this work is positive result of audit which entitle to reception of the certificate.

It is expected that KZOCM will receive the certificate of conformance of the ecological management system to requirements of the standard ISO 14001:2004 till the end of this year.

During the audit the greatest attention was paid to procedures of management of operations at KZOCM that is to execution of the actions directed on performance of legal base, ecological problems and purposes by the personnel. Auditors have assessed the level of development of normative documents on the ecological management system, and also have noted qualitative work of internal auditors of KZOCM and services on work with the personnel. In particular, auditors have estimated high competence and readiness of workers of KZOCM of all levels.

OJSC “Kirov Plant OCM” has begun work on introduction of the ecological management system of standard ISO 14001:2004 in April 2005.
