OREANDA-NEWS. Power Machines has successfully carried out 72-hour continuous tests and commissioned the Teri HPP (India) second power unit, the press service of Power Machines has informed.

As it was reported earlier, in September 2006 Power Machines commissioned the first 250 MW power unit for Tehri HPP functioning till now without any remarks.

Power Machines has totally supplied four hydrounits of 250 MW each (turbine runner diameter is 4,1 m, rotation rate is 214,3 r/min) as well as valves, gates and auxiliary equipment.

Besides that, the company supervises hydrounits and auxiliary equipment assembling carried out by the largest Indian company BHEL.

The remaining two power units are planned to be delivered to the Customer early in 2007.

The contract for equipment and services supply was signed in 1997 and  equipment shipments ended in 2003. The Indian project Customer – State Corporation “Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Ltd.”  is a cooperative venture of the Indian and the Uttar-Pradesh Governments.
