OREANDA-NEWS. The III TMK Youth Scientific-Technical Conference was attended by more than 100 representatives of the Company’s enterprises. During the conference the young specialists presented reports for discussion in eight areas of activity: pipe-welding, pipe-rolling, steelmaking, mechanical treatment, energy supply, marketing and procurement, financial management and human resources.

The work of the young specialists was assessed by expert commissions which took account of the efficiency and relevancy of the proposals, as well as the feasibility level. As per the results of the work of commissions, winners were determined in each section: “Pipe-welding” – Vadim Berchanov (VPP), “Pipe-rolling” – Veronika Shchipanova (STW), "Steelmaking" - Vadim Morozov (VPP), "Mechanical treatment" - Alexander Salin (SPW), "Energy supply" - Dmitry Isaitsev (STW), "Marketing and procurement" - Yulia Pastushkova (VVP) and Mikhail Moiseev (TH TMK Moscow), “Financial management” – Olesya Krivova (VVP), “Management and human resources” – Olga Chernitsyna (VPP), “Organizational management” – Vyacheslav Shumilov (SPW).

The TMK Youth Scientific-Technical Conference has been held since 2004. The participants are young specialists and managers who have won competitions at their respective plant scientific-technical conferences. The event assists the development of the creative potential of the young people employed at the Company’s enterprises and involves them in the solution of production and management tasks, modernization issues and the implementation of new technologies. The scientific-technical forums enable TMK to raise the motivation and creative activity of its employees, as well as discover the most promising specialists for the personnel reserve.
 
Held within the framework of the conference was a meeting of personnel service managers from TMK plants, at which the results of having implemented the staffing policy of the Company and its enterprises in 2006 were finalized and the issues of staff provision for TMK investment projects in 2007-2008 were discussed.
