OREANDA-NEWS. In January-November 2006, the coal mining in Ukraine has made 72 million 952,2 thousand tons, or by 3 %, or 2 million 130,5 thousand tons more than for analogous period of 2005.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, extraction of coked coal for eleven months reduced by 6,8 %, or by 2 million 32,9 thousand tons to 27 million 890,9 thousand tons whereas power coal increased by 10,2 %, or by 4 million 163,4 thousand tons - up to 45 million 61,3 thousand tons.

The coal mining in November 2006 has made 7 million 264,6 thousand tons, or 12,8 %, or by 824,6 thousand tons more than in November 2005, including coked coal - 2 million 563,9 thousand tons (decrease by 7,8 %, or by 216,2 thousand tons), power coal - 4 million 707,7 thousand tons (growth by 28,4 %, or by 1 million 40,8 thousand tons).

The coal-mining enterprises of Ukraine exceeded a planned target on coal mining by 10,9 %, or by 715,8 thousand tons in November of this year, for 11 months - by 9,3 %, or by 6 million 182,9 thousand tons.
