OREANDA-NEWS. In 2006, the Poltava mining-concentrating plant (PGOK, Komsomolsk, Poltava region) has increased output of floatation (raised quality) commodity pellets with 65% maintenance of iron in 2,27 times - up to 3,121 million tons in comparison with 2005.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, in December 2006, the volume of output of floatation pellets increased by 91 % - up to 341 thousand tons in comparison with analogous period of the last year.

At the same time, PGOK reduced manufacture of ordinary pellets with 62% maintenance of iron by 14,9 % to 5,429 million tons in the last year, having made in December 441 thousand tons of this production.

As a whole, for 2006 PGOK increased pellets production by 10,2 % - up to 8,550 million tons, having made 782 thousand tons of this production in the last month.

The company predicts increase in manufacture of pellets in 2007 by 10 %.

The annual volume of manufacture of pellets with raised maintenance of iron (Fe-65 %) has made 3,1 million tons, or 37 % of the general volume of manufacture. Planned targets of 2006 and such parity, apparently, will be kept in 2007.

In 2006, manufacture of iron ore increased by 13 % - up to 26,42 million tons.
