OREANDA-NEWS. The 5th hull of the river-going dry-cargo ship project Azolla for Rensen Shipbuilding B.V. Company was keel-laid at Astrakhan III Int. Shipyard, MNP Group. Under the contracts, concluded in 2005 and 2006, six hulls will be built.

According to the press service of MNP Group, in 2006 the Yard handed over to the customer two hulls - "Samary" and "Navitas". The 3rd hull is at the building slip, the 4th hull was laid down in December, 2006. The dry-cargo ship is intended for transportation of general, bulk cargoes, including grain, fertilizers, metal, timber, international standard containers. The hulls are built in accordance with the drawings, certified by Bureau Veritas. Class of the vessel is S.l/LRS.
 
The basic characteristics of the vessel: length – 135 m, width – 14,2 m, depth – 4.8 m, draught – 3.8 m, deadweight – 4,750 mt, capacity of cargo tanks – 7,100 cub.m. Navigation area of the vessel is the inland waterways of Europe.
