OREANDA-NEWS. On January 30, 2007 the General Director of OJSC “Mechel” Igor Zyuzin and the Governor of Kemerovo oblast Aman Tuleyev have signed the next agreement on social and economic cooperation.

According to the press-service of OJSC “Mechel”, the similar agreement is signed annually for the seventh year successively in the Kemerovo oblast, where company “Southern Kuzbas”, subsidiary “Mechel”, is operating. The agreement between the company and Kemerovo oblast became the first in Kuzbas among similar agreements between administration and business-structures operating in the region.

The new document is directed on development of existing base of partner relations and maintenance of effective work of enterprises of the company located on the territory of Kemerovo oblast, increase of their role in social and economic development of the region, achievement of social stability in labor collectives.

According to the agreement, the general volume of investments into development of industrial activity of the company in Kemerovo oblast is planned at the rate of 5 billion roubles. Also, approximately 330 million roubles are stipulated to be allocated for financing of actions on maintenance of safe working conditions on manufacture. OJSC “Mechel” will allocate approximately 92 million roubles to financing of the priority national projects being implemented in Kemerovo oblast.

Besides, the company will allocate approximately 100 million roubles on social programs in Kemerovo oblast, for realization of own social programs on increase of monthly average wages of workers of the enterprises of the Company - approximately 268 million roubles.

Also, within a year 36 thousand tons of coal will be directed for charitable needs and 260 thousand tons the company has undertaken to deliver to the enterprises of housing and communal services of Kemerovo oblast.

According to the agreement, the parties have agreed about development of programs on improvement of ecological conditions and realization of complex of actions directed on antiterrorist security of the coal-mining enterprises.
